Continuous improvement is the name of the game for Don.
As our business grows and evolves, Don is there to find new ways to help everything run smoother.
“I’ve always been a problem solver,” said Don. “I refuse to stick to the status quo. If there’s a way to make a process or system better, my job is to find and implement it.”
Starting out as an International Freight Auditor, Don began his career at Smith in 2004. He then moved from Operations to Trading a year later and was named Process Improvement Manager in 2011. He was promoted to Director of Business Process Improvement in 2017 and named Director of Global Trading Support two years later. He took on his current role in 2022.
Don’s experience and knowledge base from collaborating across numerous departments throughout his career has given him a bird’s-eye view of Smith, allowing him to identify inefficiencies and streamline processes.
In his free time, Don enjoys rock climbing, hiking, and traveling.
