Megan has worn many hats during her tenured career at Smith.
She joined Smith’s Houston Operations department in 2000 as a coordinator for our regional offices. In 2008, Megan relocated to Amsterdam and was named EU Director of Operations. She returned to Houston three years later and joined Smith’s Purchasing team, where she helped integrate her operational expertise into our global purchasing strategy. She was named Director of Purchasing – Services/Peripherals in 2021 and to her current role in 2023.
These experiences – spanning multiple departments and continents – have shaped Megan’s focus on cross-department collaboration and regional growth and development. She harnesses this unique perspective to bolster our multilayered approach to risk mitigation and help to foster a more robust and resilient supply chain that can quickly adapt to ever-evolving market shifts.
“Smith is in the business of solving our customers’ most difficult supply chain challenges, and we do that by identifying and analyzing the bottlenecks and pain points in their supply chains and developing comprehensive solutions to mitigate those issues,” said Megan.
As Vice President of Global Supply Chain Assurance, Megan supports Smith’s Purchasing department by streamlining our global processes and procedures to safeguard Smith and our customers. Known for her business acumen and in-depth knowledge of Smith’s products, services, and systems, she has consistently been a go-to person when challenging issues arise and has driven numerous initiatives to support Smith’s commitment to continuous improvement.
In her free time, Megan enjoys fishing and spending time with her husband and dogs.
