The new location offers proximity to numerous Japanese technology companies
Houston, TX (August 1, 2023) – Smith, a leading global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, today announces the opening of its new sales office in Tokyo, Japan. Located in the heart of the city, the company’s new office will provide localized support to Japan’s growing technology sector and expand Smith’s Asian footprint. The Tokyo location is the company’s ninth office in the region.
“Japan has been a longtime leader and innovator in the electronics industry,” said Choon Byun, Chairman, APAC at Smith. “We are excited to expand our presence in the Japanese market and showcase our unique product and service offerings to our new and existing customers here.”
Tokyo is home to some of the largest consumer-electronics, automotive, and telecommunications companies and is a key player in the semiconductor supply chain. In light of the widespread chip shortages over the last two years, the Japanese government is investing heavily in its supply chain infrastructure and research and development efforts.
The new office is located at:
Level 8, Units 807-808 and 856, Tri-Seven Roppongi
