Smith’s new Beijing location offers room for growth in one of China’s tech centers
Houston, TX (March 9, 2018) – Smith, a global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, today announces the relocation of its Beijing sales office. The new location will provide Smith a base of operations and room for expansion in one of Beijing’s major business and tech centers.
The new office is located in Chaoyang District, an area whose proximity to the local airport has helped it become one of the major business centers of Beijing, leading to a strong presence of multinational companies and local, China-headquartered companies alike. Beijing itself is a hotbed for emerging tech and artificial intelligence in China, hosting a majority of the country’s AI research facilities and a high population of artificial intelligence enterprises.
“Much of Beijing’s international business and tech advancement is centralized in this district, so we’re excited to explore the potential for supporting new market segments and customers,” said Edan Eun, General Manager of the Beijing office. “This location will also help us to better support our existing local customers and will definitely give Smith more room for future growth.”
The new office is located at:
