Last month, employees from Smith’s Shanghai office teamed up to plant trees at Changxing Island Country Park. The group of eighteen worked together to plant six trees along the alluvial island located in the Yangtze River Delta.
Known as the Hometown of Oranges, Changxing Island features multiple gardens and groves and is a major attraction in the area. Tourists and locals enjoy its natural beauty and recreational activities. The new trees will help to support wildlife conservation efforts and allow visitors to experience the park’s scenic amenities for many years to come.
“This outing was a great opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment while also promoting office teamwork,” said Gordon Qiu, Vice President, China. “We look forward to participating in more corporate social responsibility activities that support our local communities in the future.”
