Smith earns its place again among the top electronics distributors in the world

(HOUSTON, TEXAS) May 4, 2016 – Smith & Associates, the largest independent distributor of electronic components, has once more been ranked among the world’s top global electronics distributors by major industry publication Global Purchasing.

The annual Global Purchasing industry ranking provides a touchstone within the global electronics sphere, listing both franchised and independent distributors that have achieved the highest revenues in the previous year. Overall, Smith ranked thirteenth among all distributors and was the top-ranked independent distributor on this year’s list.

In a year of slowed industry growth, Smith focused more fully on the expansion of its service division, Global Services, in order to better support the multifaceted and evolving needs of both new and long-standing customers around the world.
