Smith Makes a Dream Come True Through Friends for Wishes

For more than 40 years, Smith has built a culture dedicated to supporting and improving the lives of the people in the communities around us. We are proud to continue our tradition of supporting children in need through the Friends for Wishes program for the fifth consecutive year. Our 2025 recipient was Theodore, a three-year-old boy from the Houston area living with congenital heart disease.

“We look forward to Friends for Wishes every year because it gives us the chance to bring a little joy to local families,” said Janet Williams, Component Inspection Supervisor at our Houston operational headquarters and an active participant in the Friends for Wishes organization. “Theo’s story really touched our hearts, and knowing he got to experience his wish coming true makes this effort so meaningful to all of us.”

Theo was the youngest child on the Friends for Wishes recipient list this year and dreamed of visiting Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Thanks to Smith’s generous donation, that dream came true last month. In addition to Disney World, Theo was also able to visit Universal Studios and Legoland. He spent his trip singing along to classic movie tunes and experiencing a variety of attractions—including his new favorite, the Trolls Trollercoaster, which he rode seven times in a row!

Each of Smith’s wish recipients have brought a new story that continues to inspire our team to give back in meaningful ways. We are honored to play a small part in making Theo’s wish a reality, and we are thrilled to see the magic unfold for him.
