Rocky Xu

Rocky began his career as a Procurement Specialist and was named Purchasing Manager in 2012. He was promoted to Director of Purchasing, Asia three years later and then to his current role in 2022. With more than 15 years of experience, Rocky uses his expertise to identify and implement innovative strategies to optimize Smith’s procurement program and provide even greater support to customers to help them mitigate the challenges of shortage situations, obsolescence, and lifecycle management.

He credits the effort and commitment of his teammates, as well as Smith’s top-tier technological resources, for propelling the division’s global initiatives to fruition.

Outside of Smith, Rocky enjoys experiencing new foods, scenic views, and adventures with his family, especially cycling with his children.
