Smith’s new location in Shenzhen provides a base of operations in one of China’s tech hubs
Houston, TX (July 2, 2018) – Smith, a global distributor of electronic components and semiconductors, today announces the relocation of its Shenzhen sales office. The new location will provide Smith proximity to local customers and an entry point into one of China’s most thriving – and fastest-evolving – tech markets.
Not only is Shenzhen home to major tech manufacturers who are headquartered or have key facilities within the city, but it is also a worldwide hotspot for hardware development. Smith’s new office is located at the heart of the city’s central business district, within the city center. Its surroundings include the Shenzhen Citizen Center, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, and a high-speed train station – the largest of its kind in China – that connects Shenzhen to other major Chinese cities.
“New tech innovations and trends come out of Shenzhen constantly, outpacing many other technological and manufacturing centers around the world,” said Choon Byun, Smith’s president of the company’s Asia-Pacific region. “Our new location is right at the heart of this growth, surrounded by major players in the market. We hope to use this momentum to provide even stronger service to our local and global customers alike.”
The new office is located at:
