Smith offers full functionality testing in our best-in-class in-house test laboratories. With more than 50 different functionality tests performed daily, Smith is fully equipped to manage custom testing programs for any project.

Smith can test utilities direct from the manufacturer, and we have mirrored testing capabilities worldwide. Packaging, functionality tests, and remark tests are available, as well as server-level and burn-in tests.
Smith can perform complete diagnostic testing, including custom HDD and SSD test mockups configured to our customers’ specifications. We also offer data wiping and drive shredding services.
Passive-component testing is available to ensure there are no openings or shorts and that components are blank and have not been programmed. Smith can also measure the resistance, capacitance, and inductance of components to determine their value and test temperature coefficients.
We test memory functionality within manufacturers’ specifications for memory modules. We can also perform server-level, pattern, and burn-in tests.
We offer testing to confirm capacity and functionality for all video and audio cards. We also check audio and video cards for output quality, clarity, and stability.
We test flash media, such as SD, CompactFlash, CFast, and USB flash drives, to measure capacity and read and write speeds.
Smith can support all panel sizes and manufacturers with custom programmable drive and pattern capabilities. We perform diagnostic testing of LCDs using standalone benchtop test units.
Complete diagnostic testing is available for a variety of drive types, including optical disk, CD-ROM/DVD, and Blu-ray. We test peripherals for read and write functionality and multimedia capabilities.
Smith can perform full functionality testing on server components, as well as diagnostic testing and power-on testing for full units.
Smith conducts thorough, in-house quality-control measures to verify product authenticity in our state-of-the-art counterfeit-detection labs.

CCCI-102 Level 1 and Level 2
Our quality inspectors’ CCCI-102 certification expands upon the anti-counterfeit standards contained in Smith’s CCAP-101 certification and helps to safeguard the global supply chain from inauthentic components.
J-STD-001
Our quality engineers are certified to the J-STD-001 standard for soldering electrical and electronic assemblies so they can effectively gauge components’ lead quality for in-production soldering.
IPC-A-610
The IPC-A-610 standard for printed circuit board manufacturing informs our quality engineers’ understanding of Smith’s customers’ in-process and end-use component requirements.
