Last weekend, more than 160 Smith employees and family members flocked to the Houston Zoo for its fifth annual Walk for the Wild 5K. Participants took a scenic trek through the 55-acre park where they were able to view many of its 6,000 animal residents. Our team later gathered at the after party to enjoy light refreshments and family-friendly activities.
As the event’s Sea Turtle Sponsor, Smith helped to support the Houston Zoo in saving local wildlife and contributing to global conservation efforts. In total, the zoo raised a record-breaking USD $204,000, reflecting our shared commitment to sustainability and protecting animals in the wild.
“My family and I had so much fun seeing and learning about different animals at the Walk for the Wild event, and we’re excited to use our new knowledge to help protect our local fauna,” said Rachel Goodell, Director of Marketing at Smith. “I am grateful for the opportunities Smith provides to give back to our communities and share those experiences with my children so that they can continue our efforts to make a positive impact on the world around us.”
